nothinghas changed since 2009 except America has gotten poorer and closer to a police state. It's not the capitalism which is bad it's the people that use it to eploit other people which makes it bad. That's why we need regulation, labour unions and a democratic system on which we can rely on to prevent the greedy to make a use of somebody else.
A minority, the ruling class, owns the means of production. The majority, the working class, does not own the means of production and is forced to prostitute their labour in return for a wage. A wage is by definition of less value than the labour
You are free to own a means of production if you like, and there is mobility between the classes within a capitalist society, unlike other economic ideologies. Giving people the opportunity to earn a wage and better their lives is not exploitation
materialist capitalism, whilst great for all the shiny things and 'progress', I believe is fundamentally doomed. We can't keep consuming and consuming, as we've already started to mess up our home big time, and as we bred like rabbits, it's only gonna get worse. I wish I were more optimistic but it seems like those with the power to change things, are the ones who are duty bound to keep fucking us over, in the interests of their share holders and keeping the profit flowing.
